District 200 art and graphics teachers will offer a Youth Summer Art Camp at Woodstock High School from June 3 - 6 for students in grades 2 - 8. Students will receive experience in painting, drawing, computer art, and sculpture.March 7, 2013
The District 200 Board of Education has approved the school year calendar for the 2014-15 school year. The calendar mirrors those of the previous few years in which students started class in mid-August and the first semester ended at Winter Break.February 23, 2013
This year the bands will be traveling to Crystal Lake for the I.G.S.M.A. District 9 Organizational contest on Saturday, March 16th. The performance times are listed below. We will need to depart Creekside at 11:45 a.m. All students need to ride the bus to and from Crystal Lake. In rare cases, exceptions have been made. The exception must be discussed with Mr. Eriksen prior to March 15th. We will also need 4-8 chaperones for the bus trip. This performance has been on our calendar since September and is a required performance to meet the expectations of the class.February 21, 2013

District 200 began implementing the Common Core State Standards when they were released in June 2010, and we are working to integrate those standards across all content areas in all schools.February 11, 2013
The Illinois State Board of Education has created a survey instrument being given statewide for teachers, as well as students in 6th - 12th grades called the Illinois 5Essentials Survey. The information this survey gathers will be used to help improve our schools. Between now and March 22, the middle and high schools will be asking students to complete the 15 minute survey.February 4, 2013

Over the last few weeks, the media has reported that there is widespread influenza A throughout most of our country. Today, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) called it an epidemic, and reminded people that they will still gain benefits from the influenza vaccine if they receive it now.August 29, 2012
District 200’s eco-friendly Virtual Backpack system for distributing informational materials means fewer pieces of paper in backpacks (and lost at the bottom of lockers) but it doesn’t mean less information available to D200 families!
